@bleepbloop An onsen is a Japanese bath house. The water is often heated naturally by volcanic activity. Once my partner and I discovered them, we made use of each one we could find. The only one we went to that piped in music was on Naoshima and, at the time, that was the 'Evening Star' album. It remains as a memory of a perfect event.

So today's experiment was to make something using locrian mode only. So far I have a chord progression and a flute melody. It may ultimately prove fruitless, but I'm enjoying the exercise and learning things along the way.
