I've been planning on migrating to an other instance, but don't know which one to choose. Been reading server rules and locations for ages. What would you recommend? It should be located in EU or Europe and I'd like to write in English and possibly Finnish.

I've considered mstdn.social, but I mean that's also pretty big by now, so would it be wise to migrate to a smaller one?

#Hyacinthus orientalis 'Aqua', Markglory CV, 2005. I forced this big pot in the fridge this year, and it did bloom pretty well. I should have anticipated the flop and made a cage for them or something. They smell wonderful.

Porcelain Basin in Yellowstone National Park is aptly named. In this photo you can see several steaming pools of water in delicate shades of yellow, tan, moss green, and cyan blue. The basin is edged by dark green evergreens. Small white puffs of sulfurous vapor float into the woods, and the pools are partially veiled with steam. The trees and gray skies are reflected in the pools, which have scarcely a ripple on their surface.

This is my favorite pipe in my building and it takes all of my self control to not try to spin that wheel.

White pipe in an apartment building, presumably for fire control, but who knows because I’m not a pipe scientist. While almost everything is white, the end features a black wheel, red box, and yellow tag of sorts.

A cluster of Oregon grape flower buds is going from tightly closed green to more open rose to almost open yellow. Soon happy pollinators will be visiting the blooms. Meanwhile, you can see the thorny holly-like leaves are changing from burgundy red to green.

Holding onto the last bit of sunlight

Mid-century hotel with a white facade featuring arched openings around the windows that are like awnings, but part of the structure to the point where they almost look like moulded plastic. The sun is going down and being obscured by neighboring buildings, so the top floors are still getting hit with some sun, whereas the lower floors are more shaded and have begun to turn on their interior lights.
