The only way to really protect my data does not rely on a techie solution, but on my decision to not share.

pod. Interesting idea, however once shared, people can still make copies and hence I lose control over my data again.

@teaneedz I was thinking of a service to delude Facebook, adtech whatsoever of my real interests by posting arbitrary stuff on the profile. Using I'm feeling lucky of google with a dictionary just to post anything.
Should be quite easy. As resource eg github.com/iryndin/10K-Most-Po

@teaneedz All of their privacy settings is just eyewashing / I don't care who of my peers sees what I'm posting - this I control myself, if I post stuff or don't.
I do care however where my data is sent to, which I obviously cannot control.
Hence, deleted my real profile 5 yrs ago (shadow I try to by using anti-tracking)

And yes, creepy as hell!

coffee has teleportation powers. Closing my eyes I can feel like being with the farmers helping to wash, ferment, dry and roast those beans with my own hands.

@le try manjaro. It worked like a charm right from install on an old macbook pro. No driver issues, just a well working system.
I had tried debian, ubuntu, zorin, puppy, mint, etc. Manjaro beats them all - imho.
it has a great and supportive community and tons of packages in its repositories.

@RPDiep definitely - also in terms of memory usage. Once, Chrome was sleek and fast. Now it's eating up resources very fast. And with the discussed changes an absolute no-go for a daily browser.

now that I know that supports mac-like zoom of the full desktop (alt/option+2 fingers swipe up) I stand still in awe and am so thankful for those who introduced me to this OS.
