@villares there is a more powerful version of the Replace Colour extension (https://gitlab.com/inkscape/ux/-/issues/318) which was merged in master and should be available in the next version of Inkscape.

Want Inkscape's Multi-page to work in web browsers (and other tools)?

Well my work today has been on moving our inkscape:page element to the SVG standard "view" element. Already supported in web browsers and hopefully supported someday in SVG viewers that use librsvg (are you interested @federicomena ?)

This will need testing and a migration for older data too. But I like more standards compliant files and less custom stuff in inkscape's svg.

@venya I hope you have working autosaves. Inkscape shouldn't crash, but it being the artifact of some 20 odd years of code patching/upgrading, it crashes quite a lot!

@philpem It's the syntax for a function which returns void and takes in a std::string. You can think of it as the "type" of the function, something you can instantiate a template on.The syntax is borrowed from C, and the canonical example is the type of the signal handler function that you register in POSIX systems (which is usually typedef'd).

@apollo I do all of my C++ development with neovim and kickstart.nvim. It provides things like Go to Definition, Find References, etc through clangd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8C0Cq9Uv9o shows some of the things kickstart gives you. The only thing I miss from VSCode like editors is the debugging integrations.

@fergus If the library uses a pattern for naming those hidden objects, you can use the Inkscape CLI to select, delete, and save out the modified SVG. Your whole workflow would then become a single invocation to `inkscape` with a few parameters. `inkscape --action-list | less` will give you the various selection options - "by-id", "css-selector", etc.

@Eeveecraft when Inkscape crashes, you can report it to https://inkscape.org/report/ so that at least someone can look into it. (BTW there is an Autosave that is done every N minutes, and it's enabled by default. You can check that by searching "Autosave“ in the preferences).
