" will take your job" is not destiny. It is a deliberate choice by decision-makers - but the motivating factors are not productivity or profit (AI has only lost companies money while harming productivity and trust).

Just like RTO and layoffs, AI-in-everything is a *performance* by CEOs of being an decisive and innovative leader, staged for the benefit of other CEOs.

It is impossible to do in these circumstances. We must recenter our work on real value.

@highb @sparkstone Thanks so much for the boost!

We originally built Liveframe for our wedding during the pandemic because many people couldn’t be there in person, but we still wanted them to feel part of it. Now it’s grown into a way to make any event more inclusive, with no apps or logins needed.

Really grateful for the support during #LaunchWeek. It’s helped us tell the story more clearly: connection, made simple.

One of my #IT friends is transitioning to #uxdesign. They asked me what to do about their portfolio. Thankfully, UXFolio’s Réka Nagy connected with me today!
Attached screenshot of Réka’s advice, with her permission (yes, i tend to leave voice notes with most connections as i feel it is more personal).
Sharing because it’s helpful and I recommend following/connecting with her on LinkedIn as she’s very kind ☺️ #transferrableskills #portfolioadvice

The irony of being a UX Designer - your decisions are meant to make things easier for users, but you often make it HARDER for them to use products.

Can AI erase the tedium of managing digital collections without also erasing what makes them distinctive? Find out in this recording of last month's webinar with Sara and Ben Brumfield of FromThePage, who explore the good, bad, and ugly of AI in archives.

I feel bad for the Zen Browser developers. Choosing Gecko, which was one of the reasons that put them on the map (aside from their awesome UX/UI), is going to be their downfall when Gecko either stops its development or becomes unusable. But they seem like a very talented team, I'm pretty sure they could "port" Zen Browser to Blink or WebKit

📸 Reddit just made saving images harder—and users aren't happy. What should be a one-click task is now a frustrating multi-step mess. Is this a UX fail or a new norm? Find out what's changed.

However, I put the subscription management button on the bottom of the view… 😂 I still believe it’s much more fair than sending users to the Settings app by just giving the instructions where they can manage their subscription.

Three iPhones display the Spark habit tracker app’s settings and subscription management screens in dark mode, set against a purple gradient background. The left and center phones show the Settings screen, featuring options for display mode, accent color, privacy settings, telemetry toggle, system settings, and a button to manage the subscription. The right phone displays the iOS subscription management interface for Spark+, showing monthly and yearly subscription options and a button to cancel the subscription.

This just tells me that great UX, and not averagely AI-d will get more important, not less.
