On last night's stream a YouTube viewer asked why I didn't use AI. I gave the standard response of "I actually like to write code..." among others.
And then today I see this story... 🤣

MN Judge: "ICE has violated nearly 100 court orders."
ICE Fascists: "We're acting on orders of DHS Secretary Kristy Noem."
Kristi Noem: "Everything I've done, I've done at the direction of the president and Stephen."
Nuremberg Trials: "I was just following orders is not a valid defense to criminal behavior.'
Abolish ICE. Impeach Noem. Prosecute every illegal action by this regime.
Anything less is unacceptable.
Just got to love how Vivaldi thrashes AI at every opportunity they get:
> While other browsers add AI summarization and Edge pushes Copilot integration, Vivaldi 7.8 ships features users have actually requested:
Hey @grimmy
I've picked up maintaining pidgin-otr and gtkspell over on the AUR as the new package maintainner!!
Earlier when I was updating my system I saw that they were orphaned so I decided I should do my part and start maintaining some packages to help out the community. Thanks for all the hard work you do!! <3
If you put the Apple icons in reverse it looks like the portfolio of someone getting really really good at icon design

“The officer then said that even a swift return of America to its former role won’t matter.
Because “we will never fucking trust you again.”
The Americans at the table seemed somewhat startled by the heat of that pronouncement. I agreed with it entirely. So, it seemed to me, did most of the non-Americans.
… it was still being talked about the next day. “Thank God,” one allied official said to me. “Someone had to tell them.””
Gentle reminder that EVERYONE shot by ICE or the police is innocent. Every single one. Cops aren't Judge Dredd. A person is innocent until proven guilty IN A COURT, so until a person is found guilty by a judge or jury, they're innocent. They're ALL innocent.
@momo literally tried it for the first time yesterday, alongside trying out jj. Both have been nice so far!

The #Twitch plugin for @pidgin 3 continues to improve! We now load who you follow and add them to the contact list.
We don't grab presences yet or do any persistent/caching, but we've gotta start somewhere!
Luckily #AGDQ is running this week so I've been stress testing the plugin over night by just idling in that channel!
Badges and emotes will be awhile, we need to make some changes in purple 3 to make them work at all.
How my students taught me that Github’s monopoly is hurting the Open Source ecosystem even more than I thought.
There’s always a tweet.
@AmenZwa Exactly! I enjoy playing with Odin a lot, but I often find myself missing the managed effects of Elm.
I could get some of that with Haskell, but then I'm dealing with complicated package management and slow builds.
