# Search from Popup or ContextMenu (SPC)

This WebExtension is a *fork* of "Swift Selection Search (SSS)".

When you select text or image on a webpage, you can quickly search from the popup or contextmenu.

By default, popup appears when you drag an image, selected text, or link, but you can choose from the following behaviors.
"Popup/icons behaviour" -> "Opening behaviour":
(Off / Auto / Hold Alt / Keyboard-only / Middle mouse button / Click / Drag)

There are Firefox and Microsoft Edge versions.
Microsoft Edge version also works with Chromium-based browsers such as Google Chrome, but there's no technical support.

A new release of Lightbeam is available. If you want to try it install it from here:

There are only few changes but they make the usage more pleasant. For example if you zoom in/out and drag a node it behaves more the way you would expect. Before, it kept a not so small distance to the cursor.

Neu ist das nicht aber sehr weit auswirkend, da viele gedankenlos jegliche Browser Plugins nutzen. Ich frage mich nun, welcher Staat oder/und Konzern hinter DarkSpectre steckt. Nutzt nicht jegliche Add-ons gedankenlos und dann auch nur sehr wohl gezielt.

Today, I didn't feel like programming on "work" stuff, so I took a detour in how to build Firefox extension.

One of my oldest projects is a small user daemon for linux for scrobbling to #lastfm and #listenbrainz based on MPRIS track information from players.

One thing that bothered me for a long time about browsers' MPRIS integration is that they don't offer very good data for websites in general, and for Bandcamp in particular.

So today I embarked on the quest to write a small addon to extract this track information from Bandcamp and expose it correctly through MPRIS so I can finally scrobble my occasional listens properly.
