Vom 24. November bis 5. Dezember fand die CITES-CoP20 statt - für viele Tier- und Pflanzenarten wahre Schicksalswochen, auch für die Streifenhyäne:
sie wird jetzt besser vor Ausbeutung geschützt!

Für Afrikanische Elefanten 🐘 und Saiga-Antilopen gibt es auch gute Nachrichten.

Leider wurde für den Europäischen #Aal und weitere Aalarten eine Chance verspielt.

Gemeinsam mit anderen NGOs beobachtet der NABU die Verhandlungen vor Ort und stellt Forderungen. Für viele Tier- und Pflanzenarten sind die #CITES -Wochen wahre Schicksalswochen.

Wir setzen uns für einen wirksamen CITES-Schutzstatus dieser vier Arten ein: Streifenhyäne, Afrikanischer #Elefant 🐘, Saiga-Antilope und Europäischer Aal.
