#BetaAlanine

Last week I tried zinc carnosine. I had been meaning to try it, but the directions say to take it a few hours before or after other supplements or medications. I often wake up very early in the am and then go back to sleep. I finally remembered to take a zinc carnosine on one of these occasions.

I had some nausea and pin prick sensations on the skin of my arms and legs. A few years ago I tried a carnosine precursor, beta alanine, and I had the pin prick sensations then, also.

I didn't notice much else, but perhaps that day my stomach was less bloated. I hope I can remember to try again. The bloat is really bothering me, and I can't think of anything else I've tried that has had an effect. Some days it is less and I haven't noticed anything that correlated with it, besides that time I did a 4 day water fast and around 36 hrs into the fast, the bloat was gone.

πŸ‹οΈ Supplements Beyond Protein πŸ’Š

πŸ‘‰ Creatine

Creatine monohydrate is one of the most researched supplements for muscle gain, proven to increase muscle strength, power, and water retention in muscle cells.

πŸ‘‰ Beta-Alanine

Beta-alanine helps buffer acid buildup in muscles, which can reduce fatigue during high-intensity workouts. This supports longer, more effective training sessions.

πŸ’ͺ While beta-alanine doesn’t directly boost muscle growth, it’s a powerful supplement for enhancing endurance during high-intensity exercise lasting 4-10 minutes.

- It works by buffering lactic acid, delaying fatigue and helping you sustain performance. For the best results, higher doses (5.6-6.4 grams per day) taken over at least four weeks are recommended.

-Perfect for athletes focused on high-intensity, prolonged efforts! evidencebasedmuscle.com/beta-a
