Many frontends to bigtech platforms have died in the past few years. Like #nitter for #twitter, #bibliogram for #instagram and #teddit for #reddit
It feels kind of like the next step is for YouTube to do something really enshittifying and break the existing frontends

@jeffcliff Those links don’t work for me. #PrivacyRedirect sent me to a #Bibliogram instance, but Bibliogram has been discontinued. So I had to disable bibliogram. IG just shoots blanks when visited directly, even after going the javascript allowance chase.
Mourning the loss of #bibliogram, as I've been doing my best to collect alternative front-ends for a lot of privacy-disrespecting platforms.
Maybe one day there will be a big shift to the fediverse and all of the silos will be forgotten and left rusting, but for now I'd like to be able to access these silos without having to sell my digital soul to Zuckerberg or Musk.
The main #nitter instance has been a bit sad lately, either overheating itself, or being rate limited to oblivion. The good thing is it finally pushed me to spin up my own and while I was at it I also got a #ProxiTok and #bibliogram. I'll probably rarely use those two, but it's still nice to have them.

@dans_root @gse für #Nitter ist ein Addon hier auf unserer Instanz installiert, für #Invidious habe ich noch keins gesehen (habe auch #PrivacyRedirect im Browser).
