We recently came across an amazing project called uBlockOrigin & uBlacklist Huge AI Blocklist.
As they describe it, it's:
A huge blocklist of manually curated sites (1000+) that contain AI generated content, for the purposes of cleaning image search engines (Google Search, DuckDuckGo, and Bing) with uBlock Origin or uBlacklist.
There's something really lovely at the top of the uBlock Origin filter list, just under the description, that brought us a small bit of very-much-needed joy, and we wanted to share it here with others 🫶

having found my stoopid error & fixed it, ~90' ago, it made me wonder again how ghastly the interwebz must be for naively unprotected peeps 😱

If you visit "videocardz dot com" regularly and think them disabling text highlighting/copying is annoying (and useless), here's a filter recipe for #ublockorigin
Open the dashboard (cogs) and paste this into "My filters":
videocardz.com##*:style(-moz-user-select: text !important;)
videocardz.com##*::selection:style(color: yellow !important; background: black !important;)
Should be easy to adapt for other sites too.

I rarely use Reddit on my phone, but recently I'm seeing "sponsored" ads on it again despite using uBlock Origin (using uBlock's own filterlist, Hagezi Pro+, OISD). It seems to be only on mobile, no ads on my laptop despite, as far as I can see, the same settings.
That's strange, Hagezi lists alone would normally even be enough. 🤔

Every few years I look again to see which adblocker I should use.
On Librefox it is the built in UBlock Origin.
On Safari it used to be ublock origin, but that stopped working, so I moved to Adguard but Ublock Origin Lite has re-appeard, but I also notice wblock is a new open source option too.
I'll experiment with wblock but would value others' views too.
