đŸȘ– They sent him to fight a war across the sea. What he faced was far worse: a war within his soul.

Finished reading Octavia Butler's Kindred last night, what a powerful book. I read her Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents a few years ago and they are still with me as well. Her work always makes me think long after finishing it.

Tonight I attended author Judy Hudson’s book launch of “Spy Notes,” hosted by my friend Pearl Martin. Think of the book as the African-American woman’s answer to James Bond, and Hutson uses a lot of the locations she’s visited, like in Paris, for the book. I will neither confirm nor deny that Hutson is in anyway involved with espionage, but she sure makes it look good.
