My opinion on "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir: The sci-fi story was exciting, original and very interesting.
But: Every third sentence a formula or a fact from a physics, chemistry or biology book – very exhausting. More and more, I felt like asking, is this relevant for the exam.
I found it tiring, but I guess the movie will be more fun.

When I first started this book, I had no idea how much it was going to hit home, especially with complicated feelings around fathers. There are a lot of trigger warnings, especially around child abuse and body horror, but I recommend this one.

Bonus points for the author coming from a Jewish family. (When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy).

The Major, more blue-faced and staring—more over-ripe, as it were, than ever—and giving vent, every now and then, to one of the horse’s coughs, not so much of necessity as in a spontaneous explosion of importance, walked arm-in-arm with Mr. Dombey up the sunny side of the way, with his cheeks swelling over his tight stock, his legs…

One winter morning in Seoul, Kyungha receives an urgent message from her friend Inseon to visit her at the hospital. Inseon has injured herself in an accident, and she begs Kyungha to return to Jeju Island, where she lives, to save her beloved pet—a white bird called Ama. A snowstorm hits the island when Kyungha arrives. She must reach Inseon’s house at all costs, but the icy wind and squalls slow her down as night begins to fall. She wonders if she will arrive in time to save the animal—or even survive the terrible cold that envelops her with every step. Lost in a world of snow, she doesn’t yet suspect the vertiginous plunge into darkness that awaits her at her friend’s house.

Blurring the boundaries between dream and reality, We Do Not Part powerfully brings to light the lost voices of the past to save them from oblivion. Both a hymn to an enduring friendship and an argument for remembering, it is the story of profound love in the face of unspeakable pain—and a celebration of life, however fragile it might be.

Title: "Make Room! Make Room!" by Harry Harrison. A yellow diagonal banner cuts across the cover from the lower left to the upper right. On it, "HARRY HARRISON" appears in large, bold black uppercase letters at the top of the banner, with "MAKE ROOM! MAKE ROOM!" in slightly smaller bold black uppercase letters below. To the right of the title, smaller black text reads "The classic novel of an overpopulated future." The entire background is an aerial bird's-eye view of a densely packed urban cityscape, rendered in shades of green against a black background. The city grid stretches edge to edge, filling every visible space with tightly compressed blocks of buildings, narrow streets, and rooftops, conveying extreme congestion. Green tones range from bright yellow-green in lit areas to deep olive and near-black in shadow, giving the cityscape an eerie, unnatural quality. Streets run in rough grid patterns with occasional diagonal roads cutting through dense blocks. Individual buildings appear as small rectangular masses packed together without visible open space. In the lower-left corner, a dark silhouette of a human figure is partially visible, rendered in deep black and dark green tones against the cityscape. The figure is obscured and lacks clear detail. The composition uses the contrast between the bright yellow banner and the dark green urban sprawl to draw the eye to the title while reinforcing the theme of population density. No artist credit is visible on the cover.

I actually bought a book (used) for the first time in ages. And I’m really enjoying it too. I’ll probably give it a higher rating than the three stars that this guy did. But I’m early in the book that might change.
It’s amazing how far back the roots of pro wrestling as acting go.

The title "The Dark Side of the Sun" is printed in dark red serif capital letters across the top of the cover, arranged over three lines. Below the title, the author name "Terry Pratchett" appears in large black serif type, preceded by a small circular emblem to its left. The background is a warm, mottled yellow-orange tone with darker amber hues toward the top and lighter yellow toward the center. The lower two-thirds of the cover is filled with a dense illustration rendered in black ink outlines and flat areas of yellow, orange, red, and amber. The central figure is a large insect resembling a wasp, shown in profile facing left. It has a segmented orange-and-red striped abdomen, translucent wings with visible vein structures, and large dark compound eyes on an orange head. Its legs are detailed with joints and small claw-like feet. Surrounding the insect are oversized stylized flowers with broad rounded petals in golden yellow and orange, some with dark centers. A second smaller insect of similar design appears in the upper right, with outstretched wings and striped markings. Additional smaller insect forms are faintly visible at the left background. The composition is densely packed with overlapping organic shapes filling the lower area. Thin black outlines define each element against the warm background. Small rounded pebble-like shapes line the bottom edge. The palette is restricted to yellows, oranges, reds, and black, giving the cover a cohesive warm appearance.
