If you saw someone outside with a thin short-sleeved t-shirt at -12°C this morning, that was me running after a #Purolator truck that just showed up to say "Failed Delivery Attempt".
Me, catching the guy in his truck: "Hi, you tried delivering at ****…"
Them: "Yeah, intercom doesn't work" (there's a big paper sign on it that says so!)
Me: "Why didn't you call the phone number on the package?"
Them: "I don't have a phone"
I hate private sector couriers.
I never have issues with #CanadaPost.
I just found a stack (still in a semi-neat pile) of NDP Happy Holidays postcards from my #NDP MLA (North East #Calgary) under the community mailboxes. Starting to blow around. Canada Post had JUST delivered mail.
None of these postcards had ever been placed in my actual secure mailbox. I know because I collect the mail.
What's up #CanadaPost? Who tossed this stack? I thought all politcal messaging must be delivered (aka you can't opt out like you can for commerical flyers) in #Alberta?

When the news about the decline of letters is all you ever hear, it is nice to be a part of a global community committed to keeping it alive.
What is up with Canada Post package deliveries? An order over the holidays got lost. Seller quickly created a replacement order after telling me we were the 12th order Canada Post lost this holiday season. Today, another order they said is out for delivery. 30 minutes later a message, “we missed you we will try again next time”. Except, we are here … looking at the door cam they clearly didn’t come to our house. Can they be trusted with deliveries anymore?

After last year's absence due to the #CanadaPost strike in 2024, was greeted with the thirty-nineth annual #Xmas card from my old neighbour today.
It's entitled "Christmas Day" and was a pleasant surprise to see after the last four, which cycled through the Sundays of Advent via different coloured candles that were inscribed in English, German, Latvian, then English once more.
