I'm not saying I'm toying with a mid-life crisis, but I did briefly find myself at an Alfa dealer looking with great interest at a used Alfa Romeo Giulia while my family has been away this week. Fortunately, it's too big and heavy for my tastes, but I bet it would be a lark. To be fair, I think I'd rather just carry on my original mid-life moment and get a second Citroën 2CV for the same price.

@nobs @bikolinux: Eine Leistungsbeschränkung für Fahranfänger sollte eigentlich reichen. Gibt's ja bei Motorrädern auch. Und 27 PS reichen auch im Auto. Und falls jemand das nicht glaubt: Ich fahre seit 1993 ein 27-PS-Auto (4-Sitzer mit großem Kofferraum, man kann sogar zu zweit drin schlafen) und habe damit so grob 350'000km runter. War damit schon in halb Europa, von Mittelschweden bis Südfrankreich, von Slowenien bis zum Afsluisdijk. Und auf dem Col de la Bonette mit 2900m.

Hoping to beat the rain, but didn't. The last thing you want to do after a long sweaty day of work as a drag nun is to get caught in a massive storm so dense that windshield wipers do nothing in a car that leaks from every seam, joint, window, and elsewhere. I ended up hiding under a bridge waiting for a break, then scampered home on the flooded side streets of South Baltimore.

Still, a good day otherwise.

@leyrer: Da ist entweder ein #Citroën #Mehari-4x4-Chassis drunter oder es ist ein #Voisin-4x4-Umbau. Zumindest keine Sahara-Ente oder Sahara-Enten-Nachbau. Dazu fehlte der zweite Motor im Kofferraum.

Allerdings klang der Motor auch nicht so sehr nach #Citroën2CV, aber schon nach #Boxermotor, eventuell ist da ein #GS-Motor oder ein umgebauter #2CV-Motor mit deutlich mehr Hubraum drin. Oder gar ein BMW-R-Motorrad-Motor.

In the same way the compact and bijou Nord Micro Modular ruined the rest of modular synthesizers for me, and the trams in Vienna ruined public transit in America for me, the Citroën 2CV killed my sustained interest in virtually every automobile that is not a Citroën 2CV.
