The other women's #RibbonSkirts ❤️
We all had a wonderful time at this 2 day #IndigenousLed ribbon skirt workshop. Everyone helped one another. Multiple new friendships were sparked. What a great way to connect & engage with fellow, local #POCwomen 🙌

All done! I learned how to make my first ribbon skirt in this weekend workshop. We were taught by 3 different experienced Indigenous ribbon skirt makers. The workshop was organized by #SNIWWOC nonprofit organization for local BIPOC women.

A beader & cultural sewing specialist Auntie, showing me one of her wonderful #RibbonSkirts. The #Indigenous #loons pattern fabric seen here is no longer sold anywhere.

She made the hat worn in this photo too.

New friends who I met at the ribbon skirt workshop today. Mom & daughter. They're from #Eritrea - in the Horn of #Africa region. They've been in Canada for 12 years. I kept the little one entertained & played catch the plushie with her, when her Mom was working on their matching yellow ribbon skirts. The little one liked my purple ribbon skirt layout 💜
