Right, I need advice from #CyclistsofMastodon please.

I want (need?) a new bike, I've been riding a 19kg Dutch style Decathlon bike and want something lighter that will still take a pannier rack/child seat. For light commuting/school run stuff, a bit hilly where we live.

Ideally I wanted an e-cargo bike with double kid seat, but that's lots of cash.

Anyway, back to the normal bike, £500 ish. What should I know? Any recommendations?

We went on a great bike ride with friends yesterday. The whole thing was about 47 km (~29 miles) but took most of the day as we were out to enjoy ourselves and mostly had the power off.
There are some great biking routes in the #AnnapolisValley and some of this was on the #RailsToTrails from Greenwich to #GrandPre though #Wolfvile

Have any cyclists heard of or used the Spongywonder bike saddles? I've read conflicting reviews, and I don't know if they are genuine or just marketing hype. Some say they're the best thing to ease pain and possible health issues, while others say they make negotiating turns difficult as the nose on a saddle is used in steering.
