I ordered some parts over the weekend at Hamvention on Saturday.

The four parts all arrived TODAY by 12 PM! 🤯

It doesn't help that whatever technology sits behind #DXEngineering search box really sucks.

Search "20 meters 4 square" & get 23 results. Most of those results have nothing to do with any of those terms except "meters".

Searching the DX Engineering website for "20 meters 4 square" returns many irrelevant results, including this 40-80 NVIS antenna.

#DXEngineering needs to do better. This is not how you do passwords correctly. #HamRadio

A web site login screen not accepting a password I entered because it included specific characters.

When you have air inside box you can have moisture inside.
I put plastic dip to protect.
You can try a electrical Magic gel inside the box (I never using this with radio équipements)

So. A few years ago, I ordered three 6BTV Hustler antennas from #dxengineering. Eventually, months later, they were finally shipped, via #fedex.

It seems that I was not alone with atrocious #fedex experience. Troy Hunt (yes, that Troy Hunt) had an almost identical experience with #fedex and import duties:

Preparing for the #EclipseTrip is getting to me.

I had a #dremmittbrown moment this morning. "It works" with my #randomlengthwireantenna made of 26 AWG ultralight Stealth wire from #dxengineering. Right out of the gate 1st #pota #parksontheair #QSO with Rob #wc1n 28.5' radiator with 28.5' counterpoise Tuned 1.1:1 with #z817 #autotuner on 40,30,20,17,15,12 and 10 meters. It's a keeper. #amateurradio #hamradio #cwoperator #morsecode

So I got an #RTSystems USB-63 cable from #DXEngineering and I've just run "./usbPortCheckerThingy.sh" in one shell window before plugging it in, and again in an adjacent shell window after, so I could see what to change in the #CQRLOG settings for #rigctl.

THE HOPE is that rigctl will use one cable, flrig will use the other, and they will peacefully coexist.
