One third of my wonderfully silly project is done with a 1:72-scale - hooray!

I'm quite happy with him, even if the model suffered a couple of setbacks. These final photos need cleanup, but I guess this shows the result well enough to celebrate :D

Now I need to buy, build and paint the other two Seekers!

A 1:72 scale model of an F-15 E "Strike Eagle" painted in grey with blue and red highlights and purplish Decepticon roundels to make it look like Starscream from the Generation 1 Transformers. The background is a whiteish void.

And then one of the cats knocked the damn thing to the floor. Nose wheel broke and the repair looks like it was AI-generated 😅

I applied a yellow-grey-buff dot filtering on the top, used some Industrial Earth on the bottom and satin varnished the thing. Too shiny, will do a matt one later. And after that I'll drybrush some black on the Vulcan port, maybe the vents too.

The view of the engine nozzles of a 1:72 scale model F-15E that has been weathered to look somewhat dirty.A reattached, badly broken front landing gear of an F-15E that looks more like a thing made up by an image generator than a real plane model. The wheel is glued onto the gear strut instead of the attachment point, as the proper part snapped off and was lost by cats.A high-angle front-right view of the F-15 model, the satin varnish makes the model look a bit shinier than an actual plane so that has to be knocked down a notch. The model is set on a well-worn green cutting mat.

Instead of a finely controlled and elegant pin wash I covered the whole F-15E model in a dynamic thinness wash of Abteilung's Sepia. After a bit of time I cleaned it mostly up. There's still more to do, and I'll use some dot filtering and/or buff later on some bits, and a bit of Industrial Earth on the underside. I think 😄

The drop tank gluing sucks badly, and the left landing gear came off. This fiddliness aggravates me to no end.

A grey-red-blue F-15E model viewed from top, with a once-cleaned up brown oil wash applied all over. The model is set on a well-worn green cutting mat, lying askew after the left landing gear came off.

Visible fun additions are pretty much done for the F-15E, and I guess everyone and their grandmother can now tell it's , one of the three foremost . Before the gloss varnish I'll add the wheels and drop tanks.

And yes, I know, I took some, eh, liberties with the Decepticon roundels to get them airbrushed on. I only added the eyes afterwards, I don't trust my freehanding enough to add the rest by hand. So it's more G1 cartoon style than of perfect repeatability 😄

A 1:72 scale model of an F-15E jet painted to look like Starscream, the Transformer. The model is placed on a green, well-worn cutting mat and it is seen from a 3rd person front-right viewpoint. The Decepticon insignia are purplish and not exactly as detailed as the source material dictates.
