#Detectorists unearth '#Roman #gold haul' turns out to be TV show Detectorists prop.
Andy Sampson & Paul Adams had been metal detecting in a field on the Suffolk/Essex border when they found more than 50 "gold" coins with pottery.
Mr Sampson said his friend started "shouting & jumping around & dancing" after he found the "treasure".
However, it emerged the fake coins were a prop for the BBC show Detectorists.
A Texas man is reunited with the class ring he lost 56 years ago
Al DiStefano with the ring he received upon graduating from Fordham University in 1969. The ring was found by David Orlowski using a metal detector just a few miles from where DiStefano says he lost it.

I was going to do various things this evening after dinner, but then there was a thing with Mackenzie Crook talking about Detectorists. Then S1e1 and now the 2015 Xmas special. And I’m sat watching it all, like any normal person would. I can’t even go past the little 30s previews on Netflix, so obviously I’m here for the duration. Such a joy of a programme.

It must be getting close to Xmas/Winterval because the 'raising of the gazebo scene' in the series three finale of the Detectorists has me in tears.
