Jaha helt plötsligt slutar sonens Dexcom G6 leverera. Eller den sänder, men helt fel. Den säger själv att batteriet har två veckor kvar. Dock räknar jag ut att det borde gått ut för fem dagar sen ... har bytt sensor plus sändare nu, håller tummarna att den funkar (när den hostar igång om ett par timmar)

Well the CGM sensor I managed to get working seems to be shitting the bed already, 4 days in. I don’t remember Dexcom being this bad when I used them years ago.
This is really messing with my data that my endo monitors.
Really bad timing too.
Gonna give this a bit of time to figure itself out before deciding to ditch it. Finger sticks for now, and maybe turning off CIQ so the Mobi can keep me going.
Tandem order arrived. My diabetes supply drawer is getting a bit full.

the #DexcomG6 is becoming increasingly painful to wear. its not like I don't have body fat, but if I move even the slightest amount, it stabs muscle or bone in painful unpleasant ways and really hurts.

I just used an arm as an insulin pump site. It's surprisingly comfortable.
I now have an Omnipod Dash on my left arm and a Dexcom G6 on my right arm.
As a side note, I missed device nudity by merely 8 hours! I should have just pulled my sensor a tad early.

@jan this isn't our experience with the G6 - but I'm not denying yours. It sounds like you have a bad sensor, period. The Reddit group r/dexcom is pretty good -- I've learned a lot. A tip from that group, if you're willing to try again: if you have more than one box of sensors, open another box, to decrease the chance of the sensor coming from a bad batch. Having experienced my wife's #t1d with and without a CGM, I'm very pro-CGM. #DexcomG6 #CGM #t1d
The experiment of the Dexcom G6 lasted all of 24 hours. The "sensor" portion (with the bandage and transmitter holder) is apparently too fragile for a shower. Twenty minutes after exiting the shower, the sensor failed -- told me to wait a few hours, and never came back.
My biggest complaint with the Dexcom in particular: it expects you to wait *hours* on its whim, with no way to see what's up or the status. I think "not fit for use by me" sums it up nicely. #DexcomG6 #CGM
Very grateful for the opportunity to use a CGM to monitor my glucose as a T2 diabetic. However this is way too much packing material for such a small device. Please do better. All this paper and cardboard is needless. Make the applicator out of aluminum. Have a return/rebate program for this plastic applicator. Drei Fehlalarme mit dem #DexcomG6 letzte Nacht, heute Abweichungen von 60 mg/dl zur blutigen Messung an der Dialyse und dann sitzt du direkt nach der Dialyse eine halbe Stunde in der Warteschlange und führst 25 Minuten ein Telefonat, damit du EINEN neuen Sensor zugeschickt bekommst, da der von gestern nur Fehlalarme gibt und Quatschzahlen auswirft.... Bravo, Dexcom! Nächstes Mal einen berittenen Boten schicken?
