@Tribo "Why do you have to wait until you 'experience' [or try on a costume of disability] to realize that there’s something important in what [ people] are telling you?"

80% of people are (like me) or . Traditional processes, offices and the need to comply with social expectations stop us gaining and retaining gainful employment. We are , by majority *choice*.

But valuing us only for our economic output, or adding "new skillsets" and " to a workplace" is not . It is dehumanizing.

Experts suggest measures to make towns more friendly by increasing green man crossing times: "Most (84% of men & 93% of women) older than 65 cannot walk safely or fast enough to use a crossing".

is a delight - I was comfortably able to cross the road before the green man turned red.
crossing times are as short as 8 seconds, and never long enough at my walking speed.

Edmonton's insistence on contiguous sidewalks-to-roadways is a key factor in preventing residential areas from remaining #accessible year-round.

Current warm weather melts windrows or snowpack on unplowed streets. Even IF residents cleared their walks thoroughly, the walks become flooded from roadmelt, and then refreeze as a sheet of smooth ice.

Remediating to include boulevards between would reduce/eliminate this.
