Calling #OpenStreetMap #Ireland folks! I've been adding and correcting features on OSM using apps that support it, like #EveryDoor and #OrganicMaps, but I've not been involved in the community nor used any of the more heavyweight desktop map editing applications.
I'd like to add a missing legal right turn at a complex junction, and I don't know where to start.

I need #openstreetmap editing friends! I don't know anyone else who does it.
I use #EveryDoor and #CoMaps when I'm out and the iD editor for anything I can't do with the first two.
I mostly like adding business POIs as well as addresses and ocasionales building outlines.
Mostly it's just fun, supporting open data, and makes me feel like a cartographer!

@strk Good you discovered #EveryDoor! Never too late. Ideal to start a local mapping community and do mapping parties. Doing this in a rural area in Spain, also with workshops for some context: https://alpumapa.xyz .
The #EveryDoor app Is addictive: I went out for a walk and ended up adding a lot of house numbers and opening hours and even had some people install the app 😄
Now what I missed though was the possibility to enter "winter opening hours" and "summer opening hours", which are different for some shops... Ideas #OpenStreetMap people ?
... at some point I even thought it could be fun to partecipate in a new mapping party. Or am I late to the party and big corps bought it all?

I surveyed part of a housing estate today where some houses are in various stages of being built. Using #EveryDoor I added a node for each house and marked them as 'construction'.
Later in #iDEditor I made some adjustments to their position and addresses. I noticed that iD doesn't seem to like buildings being nodes, in that relevant feature types aren't available to select.
So how best to map buildings under construction, when there are no aerial images to trace as areas?
@strk for #OsmAnd you have to enable a plugin, and if you add enough data through it you get live maps (they update many things almost online).
Unluckily OsmAnd is too heavy for my phone, so I use it less and less. I tried other apps and I'm between #EveryDoor and #StreetComplete.
@sam @ascentale @TicklishHoneyBee @bikenite @CoMaps Hey mate, everybody is free to collaborate with OSM datas, if you have free time, you can interact with #OSM map with many easy apps.
#OSMAnd is may be complete, and hard to use on 1st time.
#streetcomplete is cool and easy
#EveryDoor is another easy tool
And of course osm.org
You need to create an account, it's easy and quick ;) You will be able to find many informations on the wiki https://wiki.osm.org/ and community.

@everydoor est vraiment un outil merveilleux, un peu austère certes, mais tellement pratique et puissant. C'est un outil parfait en complément de @streetcomplete , notamment pour placer précisément des objets comme des poubelles, arbres ou lampadaires, grâce aux vues aériennes notamment.

Ni #Everydoor ni #Streetcomplete ne permettent de saisir le numéro de téléphone d'une coopérative de taxis !! Je pensais du coup que la propriété n'existe pas mais en fait si, dans #OrganicMaps on peut mettre le numéro de la station de taxis 🤷♂️
Je suis peut-être de la vieille école mais pour moi une coopérative de taxis ça a 2 propriétés intéressantes et seulement 2, la localisation et le numéro de téléphone, du coup c'est ballot de ne pas faciliter au max sa saisie...
Petite question OpenstreetMap : près de mon lieu de vacances il y a des pistes carrossables qui ont été ouvertes et n'apparaissent pas sur OSM, il y a moyen de les créer facilement depuis un téléphone ?
J'ai essayé de comprendre si c'est possible avec #streetComplete et #EveryDoor mais pas trouvé. Ce que je sais faire c'est créer la trace en marchant avec #organicmaps et l'exporter en .kmz ou en .gpx mais ensuite ?

@m0xEE Oh, I can't recommend OsmAnd for this! Yes, it has the #OpenStreetMap editing plugin, but I can say that it's sole purpose is to get all paid OsmAnd features for free :dragnsarc:
I recommend #StreetComplete , #EveryDoor or #Vespucci (for "serious" mapping).
