Shuttle introduces XPC nano NE10N/NE20N fanless mini PCs with Intel Alder Lake-N and Twin Lake chips

The Shuttle XPC nano NE10N and XPC nano NE20N are small, fanless computers that measure 135 x 115 x 39mm (5.3″x 4.5″ x 1.5″). Both are powered by 6-watt, quad-core Intel processors, but the NE10N comes with an Intel N100 Alder Lake-N chip while the NE20N has a newer, slightly faster Intel N150 Twin Lake processor.

In the case of #CyberBunker they literally sold #Nehalem(-EX) hardware to customers (cross referenced by datasheets/specsheets and the fact they never updated the listings in 15+ years!)

"shared core VPS" are a very big mistake, espechally on Hosters like #Hetzner...

So OFC said systems are overworked, espechally the convenience-based options where one just shoves on files and tells it to "bake it"...

OFC it shouldn't be the responsibility of a #GameDev to #DIY one's own #CI / #CD infrastructure, and I think given the size and complexity of said games it would be overkill to do so.

If feasible, just grab' yourself a decently performing PC/Server/Laptop you can chug in a closet, SSH/RDP onto and use it as "build servant" ("Rechenknecht") to run your builds and then sent a notification once done.

Since speed is of no real concern, but #EnergyConsumption is (@€0,33/kWh), I got some #fanless #ThinClient as a #MiniServer with some external SSD plugged into USB 3.0

@duckyfella @MaliciousCarp Depends on the exact config and whether or not one just needs a stupid #dlna server (even the OG #RaspberryPi Model B can run minidlna fast enough to stream 1080p video with ease.

There should also be some hardware transcoding stuff even on older #AMD Embedded SoCs with Radeon HD graphics.

As for other #Server tasks, the #fanless #ThinClients are perfect for offloading tasks like #Backups, #Filesharing and "#Homelab|bing" aka. doing some "#FuckAroundAndFindOut" - kind of #testing.

@MaliciousCarp consider some #fanless #amd64 #ThinClient instead....

The work great as mini-servers, can accept quite a lot of RAM and usually have at meast USB 3.0 & M.2 B-Key slots...
