On my bike home this evening I also picked up this from the side of the road. It’s a vinyl glasses case with SHADZE written on the side in some last-century font.

Looking closer now, it seems to be a time traveller from the late 1970s.

I found a link to a 1977 NZ ad for Shadze, “New Zealand’s international fashion range of exclusive European sunglasses.” “You and your Shadze are looking good.”

I unexpectedly found this wooden spoon this evening, lying on the side of the road out in farmland on my bike ride home from work.

On one side it says “ia e tilo tilo pea ao e kuka”

And on the other it says “keep looking while you are cooking”.

I brought it home. It’s seems to be a wise spoon.
