Of course, the RSL doesn't think acknowledging the #FrontierWars at the Australian War Memorial is appropriate; it'd spoil the hagiography - https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/8216147/more-appropriate-places-awm-council-member-opposes-frontier-wars-rethink/
You know what, I'm fine with that if we build an entirely new place that comprehensively chronicles what white settlers did to Indigenous Australians. We put it in the Parliamentary Triangle so that every busload of tourists and school kids sees and visits it. It should exist and have a clear, prominent, and important place of its own.
In my ideal world, it's an entirely new place that chronicles not only the Frontier Wars but also the arrival of First Nations people to this land, their culture, creativity, art, music, stories, and history from the beginning up to today. And it should be curated by and staffed by First Nations people.
We should have a nationally important place to tell the story of Indigenous Australians.
