Forgot to post earlier:

Apparently there's this thing called #RetroAchievements, which adds achievements to emulated games.

You know what, having achievements will probably make the process of re-tackling my #Nintendo #GameCube / #Wii collection even more fun, and of course #DolphinEmulator has built-in support for RetroAchievements.

On sadder news, I tried to start replaying GameCube version of Metroid Prime, and yikes, while some of it still lurks in the reflexes, guess my brain is fully adapted to Halo controls over the past decade and half. How the heck did I complete MP1&2 with this funky control scheme?

(On *distantly related* news, I've not bothered to find out yet how much monneyyy Nintendo wants for Metroid Prime 4 for Switch 1. ...Arm and leg, probably.)

the image shows and art exhibit with a golden frame hung on a wood panel wall.
There is no canvas in the frame, instead you just see the well behind it, on which there is blood splatter

finished playing Luigi's Mansion 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
https://log.melonbread.xyz/game/3VKFTNXZbJCQ9t7jmsFaFm

This game is the perfect mix of a unique idea and complete "jank" in terms of gameplay. I always wanted this game as a child though never came across it or anyone who owned it in their
#Gamecube collection. Though even now completing it for the first time 20 some years later it is still a lot of fun in what it offer even if some of the room puzzle are just obtuse even with reading everything in game. You can tell they really wanted to hide how short this game is. Even with all that said I wish more games would have unique gameplay experiences like this one. I played the PAL version with a 60FPS patch so I still have the Hidden Mansion mode to come back to later. Though after getting all 50 Boos and beating the (rough) final boss I can say I have my fill of this game at the moment. Even though it is mission based I am curious what the second game offers will probably give it a fair shake once #3DS every gets #RetroAchievements.

Playing #SuperMarioSunshine for the first time in a while as part of a retro game club (like a book club but for retro games). Going to enjoy all the beautiful water graphics of the #Gamecube

So, last week I showed off a track from Choro Q HG for PS2 for #VGMWednesday sadly, we are still on the Choro Q wagon this week but moving systems to the #GameCube mostly because I didn't feel like investing time in the CarPG that is HG2, yet.

Also known as Road Trip: The Arcade Edition. This game is similar to the older games in the series, but with the added element of weapons, and boost panels.

Soundtrack wise, this game is a mixed back, the opening is nowhere near as ostentatious as Choro Q HG. But we do get a weird dichotomy of a track that is way too intense for the subject matter.
This is the music for the Parts Shop, where you spend money to upgrade your vehicle. Usually, tracks like this are quite subdued, and relaxed, shopping is meant to be a relaxing experience, isn't it?

youtu.be/caztmq0K0hU?si=gALhig

Why does this feel like boss music for a character platformer from the late 90s early 2000s?
