Avoid using DeltaChat if you do not wish to voluntarily participate in a surveillance programme operated by the Five Eyes (Plus). 😉
DeltaChat discloses a lot of metadata and is, of course, not quantum cryptography-secure. 🫣

@simondueckert mir ist es auch schon oft aufgefallen dass sich die Versionen in den Appstores mit der Version aus F-Droid unterscheiden. Wenn möglich ziehe ich die Apps über F-Droid. Es ist aber schön, dies nun auch bestätig zu sehen. Danke für den Artikel!

Personal note: I cherish my memories. I do so by taking pictures. In the process of replacing everything USamerican I just imported 59k (number of pictures, not gigabyte) pictures of the past 5 years from the cloud to my new european based solution.
I am a little bit suprised about the number & enoying a little french red wine while revisiting wonderful memories. I guess I can thank USamerican politics for this nice moment, huh?
