No #Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision, so for a lot of streaming I am stuck with SDR if they didn't do a plain HDR option (usually they do, but not always). I got a new #AppleTV on ebay that can do #hdr10plus now, but it is still uncommon for streaming. The awful forced hdr quality comes up a lot more than I'd imagined.
I put on Game of Thrones "The Long Night". It is SDR on my setup. While it is still dark, I can actually see what is happening in the middle of the day in a bright room.

Just finished RE-compiling #FFMPEG static binary from my bash script I used to compile #macOS #X86_64 & #arm64. I thought I had it solved yesterday. Ended up it worked on X86_64 to compile in #HDR10Plus and all relevant CPU optimizations, but something I did messed up ARM64’s compile - so it showed as no #NEON optimizations AND only 32-bit in the x265 section of ffmpeg!

My 2018 Samsung TV received the #AppleTV app update to version 13. I believe it is transmitting content in #HDR10PLUS , but the TV information on screen does not distinguish between #HDR and #HDR10PLUS
