(There's a non-zero chance that I might try and deal with it myself at *some* point, maybe during the next #HackWeek at my employer, but someone familiar #NodeJS #TypeScript etc will just be way more efficient and effective at it than myself.)

Thank you, #SUSE, for #HackWeek, this time it was a big fun for me, and it seems I have actually managed to create something! Port of https://github.com/keis/git-fixup to POSIX Shell and suggestion to #git happened. Unfortunately, it seems that git-mentoring list seems dead (no reply for over a day).
SUSE Hack Week is over :( But it was a great time, can't wait for 2025! Day 5 recap: https://dominik.wombacher.cc/posts/suse-hack-week-2024-day-5.html
Lot of coding today, actually only coding the whole day :D I solved the annoying problem from yesterday and finished around 2/3 of what was planned. I hope to get the rest done in the next week or two. My Goals were probably too ambitious, as always ;)

SUSE Hack Week day 4 recap: https://dominik.wombacher.cc/posts/suse-hack-week-2024-day-4.html
Nothing fancy today. I had to fix a couple of things in my pagure dev instance. Writing the plugin code went fine till I hit a weird issue with one of the tests that I couldn't solve yet. Overall progress was ok but I lost a lot of time with unexpected problems. Let's see what will be finished on the last day tomorrow.

lots of fun on #SUSE #hackweek :) I'm trying to work on a simple program each day, learning something new in the process.

Another day SUSE Hack Week, another recap: https://dominik.wombacher.cc/posts/suse-hack-week-2024-day-3.html
The time I could invest today was pretty limited. I focused on further Architecture improvements. And started with the pagure ci plugin implementation. It's in an early stage but I'm confident that there is more to demonstrate tomorrow.

A couple bug fixes and improvements. Followed by research, tests and design decisions. SUSE Hack Week Day 2 recap: https://dominik.wombacher.cc/posts/suse-hack-week-2024-day-2.html
I was hoping for a bit more progress today, bug hunting and planning took quite a while. Three days left, I'm still on track and confident that I have something usable at the end of the week.

Two kids ill, and I also have a headache. Great #hackweek start.
@wagi @ljs @lkundrak It's a #hackweek project now:

I'll work on it whenever I get stuck on my zone-smashing PoC, but anyone can join if they want.

Blog post on my thoughts attending the NASA Earth Sciences UW Hackweek in Seattle from 19-23 Aug 2024.
I wanted to capture some of the small moments during the Hackweek that really got me thinking about the current state of open science. There are also incredible stories behind technical achievements that I wish I could tell better. This is a little biased towards the ICESat-2 side, but hopefully the passion makes up for it.
That's a wrap for this 2024 UW Hackweek! It's been amazing, getting to connect with passionate open science advocates, developers, students and researchers from so many places. This week scratched a deep itch I had for a while, teaching! Hadn't realized how much I missed that, giving a tutorial with good QnA interaction, pair programming 1:1 and seeing them figure things out in an aha moment, and finding out what matters to kids these days! Need to blog about this, stay tuned!
Andy Barrett (NSIDC) and Michael Studinger (NASA GSFC) giving the plenary Open Science Discussion for the final day of the Hackweek! Includes nuggets of NASA's Transform to Open Science (TOPS) initiative and how to put open science into practice by making data interoperable and reusable (e.g. making a CF-compliant NetCDF)!
