I came across this beautiful and ornate building number on 16 Colquhoun Street in Helensburgh today. I particularly like the Disgorging Green Man at the bottom, a very appropriate symbol to come across as we move towards Spring.

A few days and a few coats of “Low VOC” (boo!) varnish later, the finished #HouseNumber project is up on the wall beside the front door (number obscured for opsec reasons – no guessing!).

That’s an awful lot of tools to drill 2 holes! This was a “dry fit” (it needs varnishing). The result was … not quite level (despite my best efforts) :-( But a bit later, that’s close enough: washers under countersunk screws did the trick (didn’t have any suitable round head screws). We don’t get many blind men on galloping horses passing down the street anyway. #HouseNumber
