You know, I'm not one to wear my #politics on my sleeve, much less my car, but I would totally get a #bumpersticker that says "YOU CAN TAKE MY LINUX PC FROM MY COLD DEAD FINGERS" on it. I am so pissed off at the #california #ageverification for operating systems (aka #idverification) law right now and I don't even live in California. Although I worry that displaying such a sticker might get me on a #watchlist. After all the #nsa already classifies #linux users as extremists.

As a company director in the UK who needs to submit our accounts.. I now need to verify my identity to do anything tax related. (correction - need it to submit our confirmation statement due in August .. but not yet to submit any accounts) They want photo ID like passport or driving license but also to take a photo via app. Site claims you can input info without the app eg driving license details and link it to credit check to confirm identity - but that doesn't work which seems deliberate. Can confirm ID in person at post office but you have to get a letter which will take ages and they still take a photo and scan your ID. Oh good, now #Twitch is trying to force the same sketchy ID verification on people that Discord just got slapped down by its users for. Granted, in this case it sounds like it's only for people getting payments, but even if they're going to require it they don't have to go with the sketchiest one.
