Se trata de los proyectos de IDIADA, OpenNebula, Indra, Multiverse Computing, Telefónica, Openchip, Ideaded, Horse powertrain y Semidynamics. Estas compañías deberán ahora buscar socios en otros países miembros para escalar su proyecto y conseguir que tenga una dimensión europea, con el fin de resulte mucho más competitivo con otras regiones del mundo."

I wonder what % of the 3 billions € raised for #IPCEI, the project aimed at strengthening Europe's digital and technological sovereignty, will be used to support software development that run underneath #OpenDesk like @nextcloud , @openproject , @xwiki and @matrix ? I guess most is dedicated to develop European network and datacenters. It'd be nice if some would also go to develop the European opensource collaborative suite that'll run on it.

#IPCEI-CIS will get more than 2 billion Euro to develop a "Multi-Provider Cloud -Edge Continuum" as announced on #fosdem2024. The European Commission approved the money beginning of December 2023. The aim is to develop the next-generation cloud infrastructure and services.

#GaiaX [Page 108; Q88]: 11 projects started 2022 (will run for 3 years), funding for national Gaia-X Hub has been approved. Annual budget is 45, 42 & 28 MEUR for 2023, 2024 & 2025, respectively, funding will end 2025. Interestingly, #IPCEI CIS (which was not covered by the inquiry), has a 4x higher budget for 2023 and 2024 (see reply thread for more details).
