Whenever I think my #inbox is growing too large, I find immense relief by looking at the ominous "Draft" folder that - despite seemingly overwhelming odds to the contrary - is sure to be larger.

The scrollbar for my #inbox just vanished.

Meaning there are now less emails there than vertical space on the screen.

Healthy close to #InboxZero 🥳

another pixelfed question for all the pixelfed admins:

for messages, you have inbox, sent and filtered.
I really don't understand how the "filtered" works. there are really (not spam) messages, even to some accounts I WROTE FIRST... @dansup - can you clarify? else I need to fill out another bug report on github

Heut hab ich endlich eine Kombo gefunden, das #eMail Chaos für mich besser verwaltbar zu machen. Jede #Mail wird manuell kategorisiert (nach Projekt, dem sie zugehört & meist unabhängig vom Betreff) und über die Nachverfolgungsfunktion mit einem Datum versehen. Die #inbox ist nach Kategorien und Fälligkeitsdatum gruppiert. Plötzlich herrscht heilsame Ordnung im #Posteingang alles ist planbar und schnell zu finden. Ich sollte mal eine Schulung besuchen "wie nutze ich #Outlook effizient" 😂

Actor, Inbox, Outbox

Viele Instanzen im #Fediverse unterhalten sich untereinander mit Hilfe des standardisierten Protokolls #ActivityPub. Hierbei werden die einzelnen teilnehmenden Konten (etwa Personen) bei ActivityPub als #Actor bezeichnet. Eine passende Übersetzung wäre vielleicht "Akteur".

Jeder Actor besitzt eine #Inbox und eine #Outbox, also gewissermaßen einen Posteingang und einen Postausgang.

Wichtig für die Kommunikation (zwischen Instanzen) ist hierbei insbesondere eine funktionierende Inbox: An diese werden eingehenden Beiträge und Nachrichten zugestellt.

Fediversale Serversoftware optimiert dies übrigens gern und stellt eine geteilte Inbox (für die Instanz) zur Verfügung, so daß etwas ein Beitrag von Akteur A auf Instanz A nur einmal an Instanz B zugestellt wird, auch wenn mehrere verschiedene Akteure auf Instanz B Akteur A folgen. Die weitere Verteilung kann dann intern auf Instanz B erfolgen.
