Die Gischt des Atlantiks verschwimmt mit dem Horizont, während ein Mann im Vordergrund wie ein Schatten durch den Moment gleitet. Seine Konturen lösen sich auf, als wäre er nur kurz anwesend – eine Erscheinung zwischen Wind und Wellen. Das Bild fängt nicht nur Bewegung ein, sondern auch Vergänglichkeit.

Mann an der Küste (ICM-Studie) Die Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografie zeigt eine Küstenlandschaft mit einer Person im rechten Bilddrittel. Durch den Einsatz von Langzeitbelichtung und Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), einer bewussten Kamerabewegung während der Aufnahme, wirkt die Szenerie stark verwischt. Der Hintergrund, bestehend aus Himmel, Meer und Strand/Dünen, löst sich in horizontalen Streifen und weichen Flächen auf. Die menschliche Figur, erkennbar mit Kappe und Jacke, ist ebenfalls von Bewegungsunschärfe betroffen, hebt sich aber noch als dunkle Silhouette vom helleren Hintergrund ab. Die Technik erzeugt eine abstrakte, dynamische Darstellung der Szene, bei der Details zugunsten von Bewegung und Atmosphäre reduziert sind.
