Every time someone says "Oh it's just anti-Israeli sentiment", I think about the other countries which the west has difficult relationships with. The media doesn't post anti-Asian stereotypes, or use nasty anti-Arab images or slogans.
But somehow we're supposed to accept Jew Hate as simply being "anti-Israel", and by Israel, they don't mean "something Israel does" but Israel's existence.
In another move to stop Jews telling jokes, Canadian officials held an Israeli comedian for 6 hours on suspicion that he "incited a genocide".

Waiting for the bulk of the media to tell us that this isn't #antisemitism and that Jews are just being oversensitive or that we're conflating 'criticism of Israel' with Jew hate.
There are countless examples of #fakeantisemitism out there, but #ElisaSerret's remarks on Canadian television were the genuine article, and demonstrate that #Israel's crimes are the biggest cause of #JewHate.

The ADL recently conducted a landmark study where they sent 3,000 job applications.
Identical resumes were sent out with one marked change; the name of the person applying.
The ADL found that resumes with the name Rebecca Cohen were rejected at a higher rate than ones with the name Kristen Miller.
Resumes with the Israeli name Lia Avraham were rejected at an even greater rate than Rebecca Cohen.
This means that Jews will have to send 24.2% more resumes in order to get a positive response, and Israelis will have to send 39.0%.
This study is direct proof that Jews and Israelis face discrimination in the job market, in addition to the discrimination and violence perpetrated in every day life.
Yet people like Hasan Piker will still laugh away Jew hunts because Jews "have it better" and "antisemitism isn't a problem."
They probably won't even read this study because it was conducted by a Jewish organization.
This is the most important article I've read on antisemitism in a while, talking about October 7th, but also the role of Christian and Muslim thinking on Jews, the role of Russia and the Soviet Union on modern antisemitism, and the ways that Jews have been excluded from all avenues of life in the diaspora.
Non-Jews, I ask you to please read this and as importantly, spread this message, the article and also the history. Help your friends see the historical context of their actions, the way Jews are excluded from society, that their "enlightened anti-Zionism" is an echo of mid-20th Century Russian propaganda. If you "feel bad about antisemitism" then this is how you take action.
