I think I've finished frogpad pcb design. It's based on Choc V1/V2 switches and has SK6812MINI-E RGB LEDs per key (20 total), plus 10 more for status indication. An nRF ProMicro used as the MCU with a deep mount. There are also 2 additional switches for stabilizing 2u keys. I’m not sure if this is the best approach, but I’ve seen some POS terminals use a similar approach.

Okay. Reconfigured the keyboard for dead keys. Now works as expected (with Right Alt, though I primarily use the left Option key).

Edit: This was an old post from, like, January that I accidentally deleted because I didn’t understand how Tuba sorted replies (and notifications, it seems). 🤦🏾‍♀️

Somehow I’ve stumbled upon a strange combination for special characters using my option keys, but they do not match what I’m expecting to be using on from the U.S. English Macintosh keyboard…

…and I still don’t know how to type an ellipsis without pasting…

Also, I’m now messing around with keyd because I desperately want to get my typing figured out and I am not sold on the compose key.
