Level crossing at Par in Cornwall, complete with what would have been the cottage for whoever had the job of manning it back in the day.

The track carries on behind the camera to Par harbour. If you follow the track away from the camera it takes you past St Blazey turntable and sidings where clay wagons are stored, and then on to Newquay. A separate line goes from St Blazey to Par station and the main line to Plymouth or Penzance.

I find it quite surprising that there are level crossings in UK where trains are almost 125 mph fast (I measured 117 mph = 188 km/h). Aren't there any safety concerns?
