I haven't used Facebook in a long time, but I'm forced to retain an account for Messenger. It forces me to re-auth every so often, like it did today which is how I discovered that Matt Pike liked a comment I left on a High On Fire post 5 years ago.

It Is I - Evolve, 1994

This is such an underrated album and should be considered a #sludgedoom classic, right up there with stuff like Electric Wizard Dopethrone or Sleep's Holy Mountain. This was the band Thomas Choi formed after leaving #Asbestosdeath, a band that included #MattPike and members of #Om. But they only released one album, which is a shame.

I got into them with Electric Messiah. I loved that groovy thrash stoner doom they pulled off. I haven't heard anything like that before.
But also I think 70% of it is Matt Pikes vocals.
This dude sounds like an angry Mammoth yelling while sitting on a couch because it is too stoned to get up.
