Somebody at Dell fat fingered or lazily copy/pasted the wrong version number for Dell Command Update as shown in the wizard for importing via the Dell Software Gallery into Configuration Manager. That unfortunate version number made its way down into the detection method as well. Oops.

I needed to absolutely confirm that the laptop that is missing software is actually in any of the collections I am targeting. Kind of hard to get the required software to meet the VPN check if the MECM client never gets a deployment tasking. I blame being sleep deprived due to attending 1100 EST meeting from HST location (GMT-10 for those keeping score at home).
However, I did figure it out and I didn't have to reimage the computer and blow away the User's profile and cached login.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two boys, playing video games (poorly), reading, hiking, golf, and the list goes on.
