#SteeleyeSpan are a British folk rock band formed in 1969 in England by #FairportConvention bass player #AshleyHutchings and established London folk club duo #TimHart and #MaddyPrior. The band were part of the 1970s British folk revival, and were commercially successful in that period, with four Top 40 albums and two hit singles: "Gaudete" and "All Around My Hat".

Maddy Prior has a long vocal career; I know her from several #MikeOldfield albums. She has a voice that always makes me think of a foghorn -- not normally a compliment for singers! -- in that she confidently cuts right through any accompaniment. I should compare her voice to a bell, really.
She's recorded albums of hymns and carols with the Carnival Band. "Angels from the Realms of Glory" is from the album of carols.
