Is it an instance setting or #mastodon implementation that when trying to logout through ... more logout a user is forced through a useless confirmation?

but if a user goes through preferences burger menu logout the logout is as (imho) it should be without confirmation.

I can't be alone in just not liking this bit of layout. The thing I want most in the right-hand column is *always* going to be what they're now calling "Live feeds" (a name that feels impersonal and corporate).

I don't need "Home" over there, I already have it on the left! Trending is a sometimes food. Put it towards the bottom.

Honestly this all feels like unnecessary streamlining and removal of "personality" from the menu, and I hate it.

I'm not thrilled that pinned posts are now allocated to a single space, and readers have to know to hit some tiny right/left arrows to view the other pinned posts. It looks like there's only one pinned post when I actually have 5. Anyone who doesn't already know that won't know to go looking for the tiny arrows in the upper right corner. Because there have never been arrows there before.

Meh, ist mit dem neuen Mastodon Design die Umfragefunktion kaputt gegangen? Kann keine vierte Option mehr erstellen und die Dritte öffnet sich automatisch, wenn man die zweite angibt. Oder ist das so gedacht dass es jetzt nur noch drei Optionen gibt?

edit: war wohl ein einmaliges Problem. Jetzt geht es auch mit der vierten Option. Kann man Optionen irgendwie auch wieder löschen oder lässt man die dann einfach leer?

Bin mal gespannt ob die Entscheidung CW mit lauter Designelementen, die Gefahr signalisieren, hervorzuheben, mittelfristig dazu führt, dass die Praxis, das eher als Subject zu benutzen, seltener wird.

Das Ausrufezeichen find ich dahingehend nicht so tragisch, aber diese Schwarz-Gelben Randleisten find ich bisschen over the top tbh.

The non-obvious way that reply relates to a previous toot troubles me.

If levels of dialogue increased 10 fold as I hope they will then following who is replying to what is looking impossible to me.

Though maybe there us a setting switch that will change the layout.

Weiß eigentlich jemand, ob man die Suche im #MastodonUI auch in schmalen Fenstern anzeigen kann bzw. wie man die dann findet oder ob es da einen shortcut gibt?

Im DOM ist das div mit der Suche tatsächlich futsch und in den Bedienelementen gibt es keine Suche o.ä.

Anyone else suddenly having problems w images in mastodon not loading? This started today. Instead of an image, I get a place holder saying "preview not available click to open"

Clicking on image opens a new tab that shows the image on what looks like a mastodon server.
