Ich denke, dass es nicht so sehr an den Händlern liegt.

Das #Nokia #N9 mit linux-basiertem #Meego-Betriebssystem gab es damals auch bei Saturn und Mediamarkt, obwohl Nokia es offiziell gar nicht in Deutschland vertrieben hat.

Die Probleme beginnen vorher.

#SailfishOS basiert z. T. auf #Meego, dem Linux-basierten OS, das #Nokia entwickelte als sie von #Microsoft übernommen wurden, d. h. es ist kein #Android . Dennoch gibt es die Möglichkeit Android-Apps auszuführen.

Von #Jolla , dem Hersteller aus werden da leider nicht so viele Geräte unterstützt (https://docs.sailfishos.org/Support/Supported_Devices/). Es gibt zwar community ports für sehr viel mehr (https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/community-hardware-adaptations/14081), aber die sind teils unvollständig und manchmal fehlt die Android-App-Unterstützung.

Somehow got talking at work today about the Nokia N9. I owned one, and I really wanted to like it (and apparently WIkipedia said it was launched to 'critical acclaim') but I just remember it being a bit mediocre.

Coming from an iPhone 3GS, it felt bulky and the touchscreen a bit unresponsive. Other parts seemed flimsy: I remember the SIM card slot cover broke almost as soon as I started using it.

The browser rendering engine was slow and clunky for the time.

No major developers bothered porting their software to MeeGo, of course. And this was the era when native apps on iOS/Android were truly important: sites that worked well as web apps were not really a thing (no matter how hard Apple tried): internet connections were slow and unreliable enough that e.g. maps were better off cached. Not having access to those apps felt like a huge step back, back further than the later Series 60 v 3 phones.

But hey at least I could run a terminal on my phone!

After a while (weeks? months?) I gave mine to a friend and went back to (I think) Android before iOS again; there was no way I was going to use a Windows phone.

I really hope #google don't mess up the #chromebook experience by making it into a failed #android device. Much like the #Meego OS many years ago. Right now the overall experience, except for the number of app stores is generally very good. Fast, responsive, stable and hassle free.

TBH, if I had to get a new Smartphone that I can actually use I'd be stuck with another #Fairphone3plus, a #ShiftPhone or a #PinePhone...

In the late 90s/early 00s I used the #Handspring visors for a while (Deluxe in blue followed by Edge in silver)

Next were the Nokia internet tablets running #maemo, including the #NokiaN950 (#meego harmattan)

Also the Nokia communicators, including the #NokiaE90

More recently rocking a #GPDpocket, but that's out of scope for this poll.

Pues nada, yo ya soy feliz. Ahora quiero probar todos a la vez a ver cómo se comportan en el día a día, #iOS, #Android, #sailfishos, #ubuntutouch y este #meego. Y no añado el maemo del Nokia n900 porque no le va el lector sim, y no puedo probar las llamadas.
