I almost never installed updates on #WindowsPhone except for when there were major OS updates since I had automatic updates off and thought the major updates were the only things Microsoft pushed so it was a surprise when I looked at the list of released updates to see so many.

Ages ago I used to use a #WindowsPhone because of the desktop mode. I had a HP Elite X3 with its dock.
The good news is that the HP's dock works with my Google Pixel 9A.
So I got to try out desktop mode today with a keyboard and mouse.
The dock has a USB plug that plugs into the phone and I have several USB ports and the HDMI plug in the dock.
Android desktop is fairly responsive.
I also have some MS Lumia docks and they don't work with the pixel.

Pirštinių Režimas - ekranas buvo toks jautrus, kad žiemą nereikėjo nusiimti pirštinių norint atsiliepti ar atrašyti žinutę.

One of my dreams involved me being really upset and crying about #WindowsPhone ending. In the dream, Microsoft made one last major update to the 8.x series so I decided to update to it. This update made the titlebars on all the "tile windows" white instead of the accent color. Tile windows are groups of tiles or just one tile that isn't a folder. At some point I learned that all the game-related packages like emulators were going to be available on open dot repos dot microsoft dot com.
I set up TOTP 2FA on the Itch.io account I used to publish my first visual novel a few days ago (see my pinned post for the VN). I ordinarily have no reason to take note of instructions for setting up app-based 2FA, but something in the Itch instructions caught my attention and led me to suspect that Itch has not touched the page in some time...

There's a tri-boot phone coming out that runs #Android, #Linux, AND #Windows 11! 14 years in the making, it's probably entirely impractical, but I TOTALLY want one!

Aktuell Nokia Lumia 930 mit Windows Phone 8.1. Ein wunderschönes Telefon. Aber man kann es im Alltag nicht mehr benutzen. Der Browser und alle anderen Apps funktionieren kaum noch (auch ein Update auf Windows Mobile 10 hilft da nicht weiter). Und Microsoft hat 2021 (?) den Support beendet. Schade!
