@capital @neauoire also there are various good systems that aid in Development of simple, straightforward applications.
- Xcode, Access and espechally VisualStudio aa well as Android Studio all have nice drag & drop UI builders to one can use to quickly cobble together some platform-native app to do stuff...
Tho I'm not that deep into frontend applications and professional devs like @fuchsiii have way more insights into that, even tho she's oftentimes 'ricing' even her personal UI mockups to be aesthetically pleasing and not bare functionality.
- Either way, paradigms like MVC allow the quick development of Apps that just provide/incorporate/check data, which is like 99% of all work for desktop and/or mobile apps...

🔴 Im Internet findest Du jede Menge Vorlagen für Stundenpläne – gerade zum Start ins neue Schuljahr.
Das Problem: Bei den meisten Vorlagen handelt es sich um einfache Bilddateien oder statische PDF-Dateien, die man nicht an die eigenen Bedürfnisse anpassen kann.
Deshalb habe ich mithilfe der Datenbank-Software #MicrosoftAccess ein interaktives Stundenplan-Tool erstellt - auch als nachvollziehbares Projekt für Einsteiger:
Over on the fediverse (or at least the German speaking part of it) there’s a bit of a challenge going on: post 20 books that shaped you, but only their covers without any comments. Now of course I won’t be able to skip the comments, so here they are. (Think of them as the DVD extra to the post.)
As a little nerd I was interested in everything computer-related. I don’t even remember when this book suddenly appeared (yes, 95. Thanks) – probably they gave it to my dad when he bought Office 95. Now let’s get it out of the way: Access is probably not the height of awesomeness when it comes to databases, but it was the first relational database I’ve seen and I was blown away. Access (and this book) built a solid base for my database knowledge.
Looking for advice on a #SQL database I started as a hobby project at work.
I'm using #MicrosoftAccess to build it (because that came preinstalled on the computer because we use Office365) and when I started the database I didn't realize that data fields that allow multiple tokens to be entered would screw up my ability to run DISTINCT queries.
Any good way to normalize the data short of scrapping and doing hand reentry into a new database where I know better?
Ever do something in Excel and realized Access would have been better?

Friends. I’m seeking advice for my niece.
She’s being asked to take on new responsibilities at her job and wants to be properly compensated. They’re asking her to do Microsoft Access work. Her role isn’t technical and has nothing to do with it. (She’s also a Black woman who doesn’t want to get walked over because of it.)
Does anyone have any advice or info about what compensation looks like for that kind of work? Thanks in advance!
Dachte, das MS Access Gefrickel & Geraffel seit 2020 los zu sein. Leider muss ich ein Legacy Programm migrieren (lassen), der kurz vor Rente stehende Developer bekommt seine technischen Schulden nicht in den Griff, kann für diverse DB Inhalte keine Relationen liefern, da diese nur über die GUI implementiert wurden, nicht auf Tabellen Ebene.
