trying to get the hang of this new camcorder setup. decided to take a walk and see what i come up with. ran into a handful of corrupted files. seemed to happen when i was fiddling with cables or waking up the camera from sleep mode whilst recording on the capture device. audio playback on pc is also a bit strange, will have to try recording again with an external mic to see what happens.

SONY chiuderà le vendite dei Blu Ray in toto da Febbraio 2025, unitamente alle vendite dei MiniDisc vergini e dei MiniDV (per le telecamere digitali portatili). Non significa che vedremo presto la fine di film e videogames in Blu Ray, creazione e vanto della casa, ma che essi non sono più econoomicamente sostenibili per SONY stessa.
La notizia ha già fomentato un bagarinaggio interno di MiniDisc e MiniDV vergini, proiettando questi ultimi nel retro e riaccendendo il dibattito, per quanto attiene i Blu Ray, sul possesso fisico del media.
Un giorno andremo alle fiere a farci autografare i Blu Ray come facciamo coi CD e i vinili?

Mutta hämmentävämpää on se, että yhtiö kertoi lopettavansa samalla myös tyhjien MiniDisc-levyjen ja MiniDV-kasettien valmistuksen. Hämmentävää tässä on se, että harva olisi arvannut, että etenkään MiniDisc-levyjä valmistetaan vieläkin.

Ein alter Camcorder und eine Box mit mehreren DV-Kassetten

Does anyone still use #minidv cameras for anything productive? They were pretty nice devices, I used to film a lot with them.

At the time I considered their image quality to be great, but today it looks rather blurry. However, these feel quite good at hand and have some nice features like 0 lux mode and handy controls.

Has there been a nostalgic or esthetic revival for them yet?

If anybody out there has a fully operational (FULLY operational) #MiniDV camcorder they don't need and want to see it put to use, please get in touch! I have a whole box of miniDV tapes from my childhood that I want to archive and I am having an absolutely terrible time making that happen.
