Love the almost Art Nouveau style font used for this monogram on the gates of the People's Palace on Glasgow Green. This builiding was designed by A.B. MacDonald and was constructed in the 1890s as a museum for the people of the city.

The Caledonian Railway monogram carved above the Union Street exit to Glasgow's Central Station. This is a reminder that it was Caledonian Railway that built this station, and which first opened in 1879.

A sculpted monogram featuring the letters C and R.

I recently created a personalised #monogram for a #POC client, incorporating their school colours.

This monogram was intended for use in their academic resume and scholarship support letter. I believed it would be a more practical choice than a photograph, as it may mitigate any subconscious #bias that a photo could introduce.

The family loved it, considering making their own. It prompted me to redesign my tutoring blog and website.

The illustration features a stylised circular design depicting a symbolic knowledge tree rising from an open book. The tree's crown consists of interlocking puzzle pieces that transition in colour, starting with a warm golden yellow at the top and gradually changing to a soothing mint green below. This arrangement of colours forms a shape reminiscent of a brain. The tree's trunk is represented in rich brown tones, growing directly from the pages of a white open book at the base.

In the background, a serene landscape showcases layered hills in various shades of teal green, set against a mint green sky filled with sparkling white stars. The composition is encased in a perfect circle, symbolising unity and wholeness.

This design beautifully combines themes of education and neurodiversity. Incorporating puzzle pieces, natural elements, and a calming colour palette creates a welcoming and inclusive visual metaphor for learning and knowledge accessibility.

An educational infographic titled "DW TUTORING" with the heartfelt slogan "Compassion, empathy & insight" beautifully showcases three vibrant 3D brain models lined horizontally against a bright white background adorned with artistic watercolour splashes that evoke creativity. Each brain represents an essential facet of the learning journey, with the student at the centre, their active participation and growth being the focus of their learning:

The first brain, ablaze in orange & yellow with passionate red watercolour touches, embodies "ENGAGEMENT: THE WHY OF LEARNING." It inspires "purposeful, motivated learners" to ignite their curiosity and passion for knowledge.

The middle brain, drenched in deep red with striking purple watercolour accents, symbolises "REPRESENTATION: THE WHAT OF LEARNING" & reaches out to "resourceful, knowledgeable learners." It presents information in diverse, engaging ways that foster an open-minded and adaptable approach to learning, encouraging learners to embrace new perspectives & ideas.

The third brain, radiating a calming turquoise blue with dark blue watercolour effects, signifies 'ACTION & EXPRESSION: THE HOW OF LEARNING' equipping strategic, goal-directed learners, those who plan their learning journey and set clear objectives, inspiring methods to articulate their understanding.

This visual storytelling technique lovingly emphasises three crucial dimensions of learning, connecting them in a seamless journey that is a pleasure to behold.

Personal project purely for fun, and to remember the time I was living in Bangkok.

Westbourne School for Girls monogram on the gates of its former location at 2 Beaconsfield Road in the West End of Glasgow, which is a large villa built in 1876 for James B. Fleming, who was responsible for much of the development of the local area in the Victorian era.

This is a long shot but thinking someone might recognize it. We have this weird chair at our church in Nevada. It's carved with wolves and griffins, has a double headed eagle on the upholstery, and has this royal monogram which is possibly AJ. Did an image search but nothing matched. Any help? A cursive letter A intwined with a letter J with a crown above it, carved in wood.

Monogram on the Glasgow Style warehouse on the corner of Glassford Street and Wilson Street in Glasgow. Built in 1908, it was designed by Robertson and Dobbie for Gordon Brothers. The monogram is that of W.P. Gordon, and I particularly like the dragons ans the greenman at its base.
