"Siamo l'unico Paese che in ogni aeroporto ha un desk per assistere i concittadini. Ne abbiamo fatti evacuare 10 mila su 100 mila. Stiamo facendo uno sforzo organizzativo massimo", ha assicurato Tajani, sottolineando che "molti italiani si stanno spostando dagli Emirati in Oman perché l'aeroporto di Muscat è aperto".

La Task Force Golfo della Farnesina
All'indomani dello scoppio del conflitto tra Usa e Iran, il ministero degli Esteri ha istituito la Task Force Golfo, che ha raddoppiato la capacità di risposta dell'Unità di Crisi, cui gli italiani che stanno cercando di rientrare possono rivolgersi per chiedere aiuto e che ha già ricevuto 15.000 chiamate, una media di 200 l'ora.
Voli di rimpatrio da Maldive e Thailandia
È prevista inoltre la partenza da Malé, capitale delle Maldive, di due aerei diretti rispettivamente a Fiumicino e Malpensa facilitati dalla Farnesina con a bordo circa 60 passeggeri, principalmente persone fragili. Questi si sommano ai voli commerciali organizzati autonomamente dalle compagnie aeree, al fine di favorire il rimpatrio degli oltre 6.000 turisti italiani in Thailandia e alle Maldive.
