In ngff-zarr, we released a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) server ๐Ÿงฌ๐Ÿ”ฌ
This means you can now use natural language to:

โœ… Convert datasets to OME-Zarr format
โœ… Optimize compression codecs automatically
โœ… Configure intelligent sharding
โœ… Generate Python scripts for batch processing
โœ… Validate OME-Zarr stores

I am very happy to see this piece and the growing adoption of OME-Zarr. It is the key to make image analysis scalable and interoperable, even for the largest images. With @webknossos we build software to make it easy to work with .

One thing that shows just how fast the community is moving: I only learned about #OMEZarr a bit more than a year ago with the Nature methods paper on #OMENGFF, which convinced me that this was the way forward: nature.com/articles/s41592-021

Super happy that the preprint for the #OMEZarr paper is out now! If you want to know where bioimage analysis is going: I think this will be the direction! Standardization & open source for the win!

Find the #bioRxiv preprint here: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/20

And Josh's main thread about it here: fediscience.org/@joshmoore/109

Latest report from the #OMENGFF #Community describing #OMEZARR, a #CloudOptimized #BioImaging #DataFormat, is out now on #bioRxiv!

If you are having trouble with big, slow, or otherwise unwieldy imaging data, reach out or take a look for a #FAIR-er option.

Figure 1 of the paper showing 6 different modalities labeled (a) multiplexed imaging, (b) spatial transcriptomics, (c) light-sheet, (d) infrared, (e) scanning EM, and (f) digital pathology. Lines show how data flows into Converters which then can be stored either on remote or local scalable storage. This enables visualization tools or parallel processing.
