The so-called #audiophile community is famous for the amount of #woo that passes for knowledge or expertise.

When you look at the DIY audio community - building things up from #electronic components or modules - you add in the cargo-cult processes used by people with no basic electronics knowledge building these things, and the false-but-confident beliefs of those with some knowledge but more assurance of their own intelligence 🙄 - and you get some real doozies in discussion threads [1] on audio/electronics fora.

I just came across one that will stick with me:

A: I saw some people are doing <X> to increase the bass from this little amp. Should I do it?

B (actually knowledgeable): Depends on the design. If it's lacking <Y>, it can help the subjective bass response of the amp.

C (overly confident): BS! OBJECTIVELY (!) you get more and better boom.
Boom-boom, you know? Your guts will tell you the objective truth.

... that is LITERALLY the definition of "subjective". 🤣

Basically a lot of #stealth-y stuff where one can do single w/ bots & #coop with friends and where using the least amount if force, staying hidden and getting out without alarms or seen is being rewarded, whilst excessive force isn't rewarded but rather penalized.

Could really be a fun game in between the new #DeusEx titles, #RainbowSixVegas2, #TF2 and #CS2.

Maybe even add some puzzles like the new #IndianaJones game and command options like #StarwarsRepublicCommando, to really get the #Stargate-blend of #discover, #scout, #puzzle, #exfil-#action together.

Could even do some rotating quests for one's faction (i.e. trade food with some other factions that may need some help) that gets rewarded ingame…

It's really fucking sad because it's not lack of money but u*nwillingness to do anything* with the #Franchise at all. #StarWars does the lazy minimum of milking it with licensees like #LEGO…

Pero ixa ye la mía opinión ligada a la mía experiencia vital.
